“The oyster ladies” Oil on Canvas by listed Swedish artist Harald Emanuel Emil Lindgren (1866-1940) signed lower left and dated 1925 Bretagne, a Stockholmer all his life. Lindgren studied there at The Academy, in London, Paris and Rome. Known for portraits, figures and landscapes. His work is represented in Gripsholm Castle on the outskirts of Stockholm, see pg. 343 in Svenska konstnärer, a 2008 book of Swedish artists’ biographies, also see Béńezit vol. 8 p. 680.
The painting is on the original wide grain pine stretcher and is in the original gilt gesso wide grain in frame. Excellent condition.

“Tree in the archipelago” Oil on canvas by listed Swedish artist Elias Erdman (1862-1945) signed on lower right and dated 1922. He Studied in Stockholm, Dusseldorf and Paris, and painted in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Known for landscapes and archipelago scenes, both summer and winter. His work is represented in three Swedish museums including Östergötland, Lynköping and the National in Stockholm. This summer archipelago scene is outside Stockholm and is in excellent condition.

Signed lower right Rikard (Magnus) Lindström dated 1939 (1882-1943) a Swedish artist. He studied in the Stockholm Academy, Copenhagen and Paris. Specialist in coastal and marine scenes especially Lofoten. Listed Svenska Konstnärer p.349, represented in seven museums. Excellent condition.
